WELCOME TO SAMSON BRASS

I’m Samson, a brass instrumental teacher based in the Exeter area. I started to play the trumpet at the age of 7 and after graduating from the China Military Art Academy, I joined the China military band for four years. I performed at special events regularly including the National Flag raising ceremony in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. Since 2006 I have taught individual and whole class brass lessons in international schools in China and the UK and I hold a current DBS Enhanced Check certificate. I have experience preparing students of all ages to take ABRSM examinations, many achieving merit and distinction. During the lessons, I aim to motivate students to develop an enthusiasm for playing alongside music theory using a range of teaching styles.
