Trumpet  teacher

Samson has always been musically gifted. He started his musical training at the age of 7. After graduating from the China Military Art Academy he joined the China military band as a trumpeter. During his time in the army, he performed regularly in national ceremonies and events. One of his main duties was playing the Chinese national anthem for the National Flag raising ceremony in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Since leaving the military 10 years ago, he has worked as a professional brass instrumental teacher in international schools within China and schools in the UK. He has experience preparing students of all ages to pass the ABRSM exams, some with distinction. His teaching style incorporates both musical theory and performance while building up pupils’ skills and self-confidence. He believes that with all brass instruments, learners can make good progress when they have secured these basic skills.
